Some horror movies work on the strength of their gore. Don’t Move movie is betting on something simpler, and, really, scarier: the idea that the smartest thing you can do when something’s hunting you, is nothing at all. That premise is baked right into the film’s marketing, and it’s already yielded one of the most effective horror taglines of the year.
What Don’t Move Movie Is About
When a church group’s annual retreat takes a wrong turn into a remote part of the Ozark wilderness, they end up on the hunting grounds of a prehistoric, nearly blind giant spider that hunts it’s prey almost exclusively by sensing vibration. It doesn’t need to see you.” Just want you to walk. What begins as a wholesome camping trip quickly escalates into a desperate, mostly silent battle for survival. The group’s only real defense is what panic makes it hardest to do: to stay still.
